Food Security

211 British Columbia - Information on where to find free or low-cost food, including locations for your local food bank.

Food Asset Maps - A Vancouver Coastal Health resource to help you local food assets. The region includes the areas between Richmond to Squamish-Lillooet (including the Sunshine Coast).

 

Quest Food Exchange - These non-profit grocery markets help ensure families and individuals in need have access to the groceries they want, at the prices they can afford. Locations only in the Lower Mainland. Referral may be required.

 

Provincial Government Health Supplements & Programs including:

ME | FM Society of BC - Providing support, community and opportunities to connect for individuals living with ME/CFS, Long-COVID and Fibromyalgia. They offer professionally facilitated groups and peer social support groups. 

The National ME/FM Action Network - a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the recognition and understanding of ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia through education, advocacy, support and research.

Pain BC -  a provincial program that aims to enhance the well-being of all people living with pain through empowerment, care, education and innovation. 

Solve M.E. - a Canadian non-profit organization that serves as a catalyst for critical research into diagnostics, treatments, and cures for ME/CFS, Long Covid and other post-infection diseases.

The Bateman Horne Center - an American non-profit organization improving access to informed health care for individuals with ME/CFS, Long COVID, and fibromyalgia by translating our clinical expertise into medical education and research initiatives. 

Health Rising - provides the latest treatment and research information for fibromyalgia and ME/CFS. The information found on Health Rising is mostly put together by people with ME/CFS and/or FM.
